Concepts of physiological integrity, psychosocial
integrity, a safe effective care environment, and health
promotion/maintenance are further explored as students
assess and intervene to improve function for clients and
families experiencing threats to physiological and
psychosocial integrity. Nursing care is aimed at restoring
optimal functioning for clients/families and assisting them
through life transitions, using the nursing process as a
framework to help the learner think critically and
integrate theory with practice. Prerequisites: NURS 101.
Corequisites: BIOL 110, ENGL 102, FNMT 118 or
above (must be taken concurrently or prior).
